This tour was far more interesting than we could have imagined! Not only the amazing architecture and history but our guide Serena was able to be real with us and very knowledgeable! We would do this tour again with her to take in more information!

  2. Nita Cumello

Mathilde did an amazing job leading this tour for our family of 5, which included children ages 14 and 10. She was very good about including the kids and keeping them engaged! We had been to the these particular sites 3 times before, and still learned so much from Mathilde.

  3. Amanda Baldino

Our 4-hour tour with Caitlin was phenomenal! She was so thorough and knowledgeable, and was a joy to spend our morning with! You can feel her passion for the history of Rome and you leave with a lot of amazing bits of info you never knew (and some great pics since she knows all the good spots)!

    1000% recommend!

Seriously, do not do the Vatican on your own or in a large group – the former, you’ll miss all the nuance; the latter, you’ll be jockeying for elbow room and bound by the slowest of the bunch. We absolutely loved our guided tour there. It was truly breathtaking, and our guide was shockingly knowledgeable about seemingly every last aspect of the collection – including random, off-beat questions from this often-sarcastic tourist. A particular stand-out moment was when we stopped by a certain roped-off gallery, and our guide said, “Just wait here for a moment, please.” We assumed she was taking a quick break or something, but a few moments later, she returned with a security guard who opened up the cordoned-off area for us. Suddenly we had a completely private tour – just the five of us touring several individual rooms all alone. Mind you, this was the height of the summer tourist season, and the Vatican was packed, so it was particularly shocking! It was admittedly a total thrill and one aspect of the trip that we will never, ever forget.

Our Vatican tour was one of the best things my wife and I have experienced on our trip. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable. She meet us for coffee before the tour and explained Vatican history. Once finished, we headed to the Vatican and skipped the entire line. I cannot express it enough, take the tour privately. Your experience will be u forgettable, guaranteed. Thank you Ciao Andiamo for a wonderful experience.
