Day 1

Explore Genoa

Buongiorno Italia! After meeting your tour leader and group in Genoa, head to your hotel and check in. Your Italian adventure begins with a light lunch, and then a guided tour of the city center, including a visit to Christopher Columbus’ childhood home. Later on, head back to your hotel for a welcome dinner with your group.

Day 2

The Noble Alleys

Following breakfast at your hotel, join a guide for a tour through the nineteenth-century district of Genoa and the “noble alleys” of the city. You’ll then visit the little seaside village of Boccadasse and enjoy lunch in one of the restaurants along the coast. Then spend the evening at your leisure and dine with your group.

Day 3

Journey to the Riviera

Enjoy breakfast before checking out and head to Sestri Levante, stopping along the way to savor the nationally renowned “focaccia al formaggio di Recco” (cheese focaccia of Recco). Following lunch, stop in Camogli for a stroll along the beach and a visit of the town, then head to Sestri Levante for another group dinner.

Day 4

Discover Cinque Terre

Get ready for a full Cinque Terre immersion! Following breakfast, head to the UNESCO World Heritage site and visit the different villages, stopping for a picturesque lunch in a characteristic restaurant on the water to enjoy the breathtaking views. After, venture back to Sestri for dinner on your own.

Day 5

A Day on the Water

After breakfast, meet your tour leader and head to Portofino. Visit the seaside town before a ferry or car ride to the magical bay where the San Fruttuoso Abbey is located. If the weather permits, savor your lunch right on the beach. After, head back to Sestri and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 6

Pesto Cooking Class

In the morning, join a cooking class featuring pesto, a quintessential Italian sauce born right here in Liguria, and then enjoy the fruits of your labor. Spend the afternoon exploring the city on your own.

Day 7

Check out of your hotel and journey to Lucca for a quick stroll around town and one last lunch with your group. Then head towards Florence where we will bid you arrivederci until our next adventure together!
